Photos you upload: When you upload photos for skin analysis, these images are sent directly to our AI analysis service, analysed in real-time, and immediately discarded. We do not store, save, log, or retain any photos you upload. The analysis result is returned to your browser and never stored on our servers.

Quiz answers: Your answers to the 12 skin assessment questions are processed in your browser to determine your skin type. These answers are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. They exist only in your current browser session and are deleted when you close the page.

Anonymous usage data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated information about how visitors use GlowDekho — including pages visited, time spent, device type, and general geographic location (city level). This data cannot identify you personally.

Voluntary contact information: If you contact us via email or a contact form, we collect only the information you choose to provide (name and email) to respond to your inquiry.

The anonymous analytics data we collect is used solely to:

• Understand which features are most useful to users
• Identify and fix technical issues
• Improve the accuracy of skin type recommendations
• Understand traffic sources to improve our reach

We never use any data to build personal profiles, target advertising, or identify individual users.

We take this section extremely seriously. Your face photos are sensitive biometric data and we treat them accordingly.

When you upload a photo to GlowDekho, the following happens in sequence:

• Your photo is converted to a secure format in your browser
• It is sent to the Anthropic AI API for analysis (Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this step)
• The analysis result (text only) is returned to your browser
• The original photo is never stored, logged, or retained by GlowDekho
• The photo data in your browser is cleared when you close or refresh the page

GlowDekho does not have access to a database of user photos. No employee or system can retrieve photos you have uploaded. They simply do not exist on our end after analysis is complete.

GlowDekho participates in affiliate programs with Amazon India, Nykaa, and other e-commerce platforms. When you click a product link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the platform. You pay exactly the same price regardless of whether you click through our link or visit the platform directly.

When you click a link to a third-party platform (Amazon, Nykaa, Blinkit, Zepto), you leave GlowDekho and enter that platform's environment. Their privacy policies govern what happens on their platforms. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies.

We disclose affiliate relationships transparently and this disclosure itself constitutes adequate notice under Indian advertising standards.

GlowDekho uses browser local storage and session storage (not traditional cookies) to temporarily remember your quiz progress and skin type within a single session. This data exists only in your browser and is cleared when you close the browser tab.

Google Analytics uses its own cookies to track anonymous usage. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

GlowDekho is served over HTTPS, ensuring all data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted. Since we collect minimal personal data, the security risk to users is inherently low.

The AI photo analysis is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS to Anthropic's servers. Anthropic maintains enterprise-grade security standards for data handling.

GlowDekho is designed for users of all ages including those under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our under-18 quiz pathway provides simplified, age-appropriate skincare recommendations and explicitly excludes strong actives like retinol and salicylic acid.

Since we collect no personal information in normal usage, there is no additional risk to younger users.

Under the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules 2011, you have the right to:

• Know what personal data we hold about you (in our case — essentially none)
• Request correction or deletion of any personal data
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
• Lodge a complaint with relevant authorities if you believe your rights are violated

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of GlowDekho after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.

We will never reduce your privacy protections without clear notice and an opportunity to review the changes.
